For mother’s day we decided to explore Unique LA. For those not familiar, it’s a marketplace for modern design made in the USA. (bravo bravo!!). I didn’t really know what to expect, but let me tell you it was a great event. From the free drinks to the free DIY workshops, free tote bag. to the amazing food, not to mention all the goodies I bought!! It’s a must visit for all you Southern California people.
One of my favorite designers I saw was Blooms in the Air, a handmade paper flower shop. I mean paper flower terrariums!? Paper air plants!? Brilliant to say the least. This work was exquisite.
Selina Vaughan Studios had the most amazing vintage seed sack bags. I mean these were gorgeous I have to say! Officially added to my wish list.
I also loved Robynn Molino’s work. We picked up a few things at her shop. Tiny Whales had the most adorable tees and onesies for kids like this Once Upon a Time tee…I mean seroiusly? Too cute! One of my favorite scores was this wooden marquee mermaid. As we walked around the show with it, just about everyone asked where we scored such a treasure. Well everyone here is the answer, Junk Art Gypsyz. They have the coolest stuff!!
I loved this signage from MFEO and their work was absolutely amazing! They “handREcraft the broken and rejected into uniquely beautiful pieces for your home…” How can you not love them! We snagged some unique & delicious Golden tomato honey with rosemary from Lemon Bird Design. Of course our visit wasn’t complete without a visit to the Tattly folks. Piper rocked her tat pretty nicely don’t you think? And lastly the Oh Hello Friend shop was representing. We snagged a few things from here too, and I just loved everything in there! Can’t wait to visit their brick and mortar soon. Also not pictured, but definitely worth mentioning is the amazing Black Truffle Finishing Salt we picked up from Hepps Salt Co. YUM!!
Good news friends, the next Unique LA is July 13 + 14 in Santa Monica…Trust me you will want to check it out.
