A good friend of ours recently sent us a photographer’s link that she loved and thought we would love as well…she was right. Clayton Austin is not only an incredible photographer, but an incredible story teller. His stories aren’t ones of fantasy but that of real life, which make them so tangible bringing tears to my eyes while reading. He puts words to feelings and moments along with capturing them so beautifully, all the while plucking the chords of your heart strings.
Here are a few of my favorites:
I recommend that you listen to the music while you search his captivating site.
“Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision.
You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined to gether that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is.
Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are.
Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.”
