It’s no secret that I have a love affair with cheese and charcuterie plates. We had a small gathering at our home the other day and we put a fresh spin on the standard cheese and charcuterie plate. Filling an extra large wooden board with farmers market finds, grilled veggies, and of course artisan cheeses and finely cured meats. It offered guests an opportunity to graze and mingle as opposed to a more traditional sit down affair, which suited our afternoon soirée perfectly. It’s also a great way to serve a group of people that may have food restrictions as so many do these days. I can’t help thinking this would be an amazing idea for small celebrations like bridal showers or birthday parties. But just think if you did this on a grand scale for a wedding! What a dream. What if this spanned an entire long table. I absolutely love that idea. Here are a few tips on how to recreate my version of the farmers market charcuterie board but feel free to make it your own, make it seasonal and don’t forget to include your favorites!
