I am beyond thrilled that one of my favorite weddings of the year, if not all time, is featured on Reverie Gallery. Jeff and Bob were a dream to work with, and really gave us creative freedom to capture them as a couple, and infuse the tropical chic vibe of Little Palm Island into the paper goods. We started with a custom watercolor letterpress save the date. The blue watercolor hinted at the turquoise blue ocean, and the palm trees set the tone for the destination. Next we created a custom calligraphed monogram which we used as a wax seal. We sourced bamboo thatched paper to serve as a backer for the invitation itself and wrapped it in a Japanese rice paper to create a big reveal for the guests when opening the invitations. We used hand calligraphy rather than a font to add to the custom and unique feel of the suite.
For the dayof pieces, we really wanted guests to feel like the wedding was a true experience. Guests were greeted with custom tote bags, and personalized hang tags on each. One of my favorite details were the custom door hangers for guests to put outside their hotel room after a long night. We continued the feel of the invitation on the menus which had the same bamboo backer and custom wax seal. We even had each menu hand calligraphed so they doubled as place cards! Such a gorgeous event for a gorgeous couple! Please be sure to visit Reverie Gallery for more of the details there.
