Well I am sure by now you have seen Grace’s (as in design*sponge) wedding. She has been posting about it all week and it was also featured in the new issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. If not she got hitched in Savannah Georgia and the reception took place at a 1842 mansion. Swoon! But I could not help but post a few of my favorite details. There are some great DIY ideas as well as just good old fashioned inspiration from this fabulous event.
Some of the details I just can’t get enough of include her invitations printed on vintage hankies, vintage bottles used to hold the flowers, and these amazing custom made fabric covered buttons made by Busy Beaver Buttons that adorned the favors which were grits + recipe for shrimp and grits. I adore the mix and match vibe and the different fabrics Grace chose were amazing!
Vintage chandeliers provided the outdoor lighting, escort cards hung on a vintage petti coat dryer sitting atop a vintage cabinet. I also love that there was a sweet tea bar at the ceremony with lovely drink flags. I am a sucker for customized drink flags all of a sudden. I love all the little details, like the calligraphed chalkboard signs, and vintage fabric inspired escort cards. LOVE!! Fabulous job Grace. Take a look at Grace’s posts on her site for a full list of resources. These gorgeous photos were taken by Bethalee.
